Bebe Bardeaux

Bite-sized bibliophile Bebe “The Doll” Bardeaux is an award-winning shake dancer, historian, pinup model, and rollergirl. Bebe stage-kittened for 4 years before working up the nerve to debut. Once she did, there was no looking back — she was awarded the 2019 Golden Smile Award at the Golden Legends Champion Challenge, competed in the 2018 Burlypicks World Championship after taking home the top prize in the D.C. regionals, and was nominated for the New York Burlesque Festival’s 2018 Hottest Freshman Golden Pastie Award. As a burlesque baby, she started a popular blog highlighting her performance journey and the history of shake dancing. Bebe is currently expanding her blog posts into the forthcoming book “Shake Queens,” a historical overview of the art form from a Black modern-day performance perspective. When Bebe’s not performing, she’s a full-time librarian and mom — she considers them two of the greatest jobs in the world, along with performing onstage!
