Guest of Honor: Bonnie Dunn

Neo-Burlesque Producer & Pioneer

Bonnie Dunn has performed her signature cabaret and burlesque act for nearly three decadent decades. Today, she produces and stars in the wildly popular variety show Le Scandal Cabaret in New York City, now in its 15th year.

She began singing in New Orleans and soon expanded her work to stages around the world. Over the years, she has performed in cabarets and hotels from New York to Bangkok.

Along the way, Bonnie embraced a wide range of creative gigs. She delivered singing and stripping telegrams, go-go danced, modeled for artists, recorded voiceovers, and even joined an all-girl rap group called The Candy Rappers. In 1994, she walked into the Blue Angel Cabaret—and began a 20-year love affair with burlesque.

In addition, Dunn has appeared on the History Channel, WE Network’s To Live and Date in New York, Metro TV’s NY Central, Naked NY, HBO’s Real Sex #25, The Travel Channel, the Lifetime film If Tomorrow Comes, and Law & Order.

The New York Times describes her as “a sassy singer with a smoldering voice.” Meanwhile, Vogue Italia has crowned her “The Godmother of Burlesque.”
