Our presenters bring different experiences, artistic practices, perspectives, and approaches to teaching. This creates a learning environment as diverse as the people who attend.

From movement and performance to history, production, costuming, business, and creative practice, BurlyCon classes and programs offer opportunities to learn from people who have spent years developing their craft.

Learn From Burlesque Artists & Educators

BurlyCon presenters don’t all teach the same way.  That’s part of what makes the experience special.

Some presenters bring years of performance experience to the classroom. Others specialize in movement, choreography, costuming, storytelling, production, or the history and culture of burlesque. Still others bring expertise from outside traditional performance spaces, offering perspectives that can expand how we think about the art form and our creative practices.

Because burlesque encompasses so many disciplines, learning at BurlyCon can take you in unexpected directions. You might arrive looking to improve a specific performance skill and leave with a completely different idea for your next act. You might take a class that challenges the way you think about movement, discover a new creative process, or finally explore a subject you’ve been curious about for years.

Just as importantly, our presenters understand that students arrive with different goals and levels of experience. Whether you’re stepping into your first burlesque class, refining a well-established practice, or looking for inspiration after years onstage, there’s something to discover.

Find Your Teachers

With so many presenters, choosing your classes can be part of the fun.

Start by exploring the presenter lineup, then look for classes and programs that spark your curiosity. You don’t have to arrive with a perfectly mapped-out plan. Leave some room for discovery, too.

You may find a longtime favorite, discover an artist you’ve never encountered before, or stumble across a class that wasn’t anywhere near your original plan.

However you build your schedule, we hope you’ll come ready to learn, experiment, ask questions, and take something new home with you.

Because at BurlyCon, the people in the room are part of the experience—and our presenters are here to help make that experience one you’ll remember.
