BurlyCon’s Finishing School returns to Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender in 2026
Each year, the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender gathers performers, producers, and audiences from around the world to celebrate burlesque’s past, present, and future. Within that space, BurlyCon’s Finishing School creates something uniquely focused: education rooted in legacy.
Learning from Legends
Through classes and conversations, participants learn directly from Legends and titleholders whose careers create the lineage of burlesque. These sessions offer insight into performance, longevity, and the realities of building a life in this art form.
More Than a Class
BurlyCon’s Finishing School is intentionally designed to feel different from a traditional classroom. Rather than focusing solely on skill-building, it centers context, continuity, and connection
Students gain tools and perspective that help them understand where their work fits within a larger history and how they might carry it forward.
Artistry as Agency in Practice
At its core, Finishing School reflects BurlyCon’s guiding idea: Artistry as Agency.
When artists learn from those who came before them, they gain access to lived experience, cultural memory, and creative lineage.
That access builds agency and helps artists make informed creative choices, expand opportunities for others, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of burlesque.
A Shared Commitment
The partnership between BurlyCon and the Burlesque Hall of Fame reflects a shared commitment to education, preservation, and community. If you’re attending the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender, we invite you to take part in BurlyCon’s Finishing School.
BHoF Weekender passes are sold separately through the BHoF website.
